Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie’s “Lost Girls”
People who like Alan Moore may be a little bit surprised with his “newest” project. The Comic book and Graphic Novel veteran has been working for 16 or so years with artist Melinda Gebbie to create a 3 book 240 page hard bound series.

For those who are unfamiliar with Alan Moore, he is the man behind League of Extraordinairy Gentlemen, V for Vendetta, From Hell, Promethea and others.
His work has a tendency to be made into mediocre/to decent films by the hollywood crap gang. none of the films really hold true to his work.
This new series i will need to get and look over, but the shock has already set in a little and i am nervous about what i may read.

Condi Rice - Laser-eyed evil robot
We have proof of “her” robotness.
These transmissions have been received through a pirate network of digital relays and brought to you as a public service message.

All we can do is make this information available to you, the public. It is up to you to protect yourselves and do further research into anti-robotic safety.
Good places to begin your Research would be with the most obvious of google searches as well as possibly reading this book.

Defend yourself against the coming robot rebellion
Don’t let this happen to you!
Except from article:
“Any robot could rebel, from a toaster to a Terminator, and so it is crucial to learn the strengths and weaknesses of every robot enemy,” author Daniel H. Wilson warns in “How to Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion.”
(if you are going to buy it, try an independent bookstore as opposed to some massive conglomerate)

grrr..
ZDNET has a blog article listed today titled “The Shameful destination of your music purchase dollars” in which they scath the **AA for continuing a lawsuit against the family of a man that has died. The article itself is not that awesome, more editorial than informative. Though i didn’t gain much information from it, i did become infuriated again. The article should still be read as it gives plenty of information to spammers on where to send their fantastic V1@GRa offers.
A change of business practices are in order people. try releasing a CD at a price it is worth rather than the inflated price the industry got away with after being blasted with an anti-trust lawsuit for price fixing? shouldnt a price go down as the technology becomes more common? if the independent labels can do it for 10$ and still pull a nice profit then shouldnt the big boys be able to play ball too?
hey, i got an idea! while we are fixing the price, why not fix the product too? go ahead and charge me 16$… but put the music on a DVD with a CDA layer for backwards compatible playability? make it so i can play it anywhere, but have outstanding audio quality when i play it at home?
These are few hard copy examples of how to fix the issues they are having, but they need to find a way to harness the internet and digital copies in order to really survive.. why not take up a business model like allofmp3.com ? 2 cents a meg for downloads of whatever quality you desire? the RIAA is still getting cash from these guys, not as much as they want, but enough to match russian royalty laws. the number of people i alone know that pay for high quality audio from here is astounding… gee, they must be doing something right. learn from them, dont try to destroy them.
bah.. i am getting more angry, perhaps i will go buy more used CDs so i can have my album art with out supporting the industry.. just some local CD shop owner who cuts me a good deal :)
