So a few weeks back i was reading some information on The Register about the supposed bombers in the UK who were going to blow up air planes using explosives they were to construct from household checmicals in the bathroom of airplanes…

I felt it was unlikely that this was the case as we have been fed so much information over and over in an attempt to regulate the amount of fear that the american public feels. With the good relations that Bush and Blair hold together, it is not surprising that they would build this up to the point where they would be able to further regulate international travel in their favor. The Orwellian 1984 (America 2014) that many of us have become familiar with is seen in progression with situations like this. The media is fed information so volatile that there is no apparent need for further research. The public fear rises and truth becomes what common knowledge is, regardless of what the facts truely are… if you have enough people saying that Jesus was the first American president, then it really doesnt matter what the truth is.. The population makes their own “facts”.

I am done ranting here, but i have included the full text from T hregister below as well as a link to the article. Give it a read, it is about 10 minutes tops for a slow reader. It is curious to me that this would be such an impossible task to pull off but it has been made into an incredible misinformation thunderstorm… Fear….. It is a powerful political tool.

Binary liquid explosives are a sexy staple of Hollywood thrillers. It would be tedious to enumerate the movie terrorists who’ve employed relatively harmless liquids that, when mixed, immediately rain destruction upon an innocent populace, like the seven angels of God’s wrath pouring out their bowls full of pestilence and pain.

The funny thing about these movies is, we never learn just which two chemicals can be handled safely when separate, yet instantly blow us all to kingdom come when combined. Nevertheless, we maintain a great eagerness to believe in these substances, chiefly because action movies wouldn’t be as much fun if we didn’t.
