Script

Many who know me IRL are already aware that i am writing a script for a movie. It will be something that is created as a community effort with friends.
So far i can tell you that IT FUCKING SUCKS.
the script is shit and i am frustrated.
that is all for now.
I am considering making a subsector of the site where i will post the bulk of the edited work for feedback.
any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Dude, don’t sell yourself short. I know what a creative genius you are and I am not just saying that because we are friends. I think you might suffer from the same thing that I do, which is perfectionism (I don’t know if that’s a word and I don’t care, you get my point).
If it wasn’t for you, I would have given up this dream of being a writer a long time ago. So, I think you might just be too hard on yourself. We’ll talk about this more tomorrow at lunch. Anyway, I believe in you and I know you can do this.

Take a break from it and come back and reevaluate your opinion on it. If you still like the whole thing but feel it has problems, than work on those problems.
The past year I just got back into the writing game after having a creative block for about 13 years. I’d be more than happy to give some feedback, although I’m more of a story person than screenwriting.

Don’t belittle yourself that way. That’s what we’re here for. You just need to put your creative mind to work at what you want to say. How many times have you heard of a flick being rewritten a dozen times before they came up with the right combinations of words. Sometimes the first try is not the right try. So to be cliche - If at first you don’t succed, try try again.
