more groucho + lou reed + dog pee

June 16th, 2008 by erisian

The song above is Lou Reed’s Waiting for the man (Temporary Thing)

This has been posted because of a comment befril made

to get to the qoute befril likes, you need to get about 10 minutes into the song. the song is about 13 min long or so and contains a lot of rambling and lou reed bitching at people who are being asses in the crowd.

my favorite line “i sing… when you shut up….”

what a badaaaassssss..

anyone who is interested in buying the album should check out the 2 disc live set called “Take no Prisoners”

i highly suggest the album. it cracks me up and is a nice listen.. more so for car rides and long walks than just sitting around the house, but awesome all the same.

If you are n the mood for some bizarreness…

try this on for size

a few years back there was a lot of people collecting george w bush quotes and remixing them. the group RX came out with a GW remix of Walk on the Wild Side… mixed with Lennon’s Imagine. i never noticed until this song that they shared the same piano beat and song structure. it kinda threw me for a loop. i had to pull out copies of both songs and play them side by side to prove that i wasnt imagining the correlation. props to RX for bringing this (probably well known) nugget of joy to my poor mind.

This song was part of The Party Party remix album. dont call it a mash up or i will hit you. remix.. RE-Mix…

check out all the trash and the good stuff on the DIY Media site.. you have to filter through it yourself though as there is a lot of crap and i dont have the patience for it anymore.. i think three days last year were enough for me.

DO NOT go to thepartyparty dot com as the site seems to be acting really phishy (ie.. Infected) when i visited it today. ask me if you want a full copy of the album instead.

Yess. “I sing when you shut up”
This album is full of put downs, ranks, or whatever you want to call them. This may not be Lou’s best musically live album, but DAMN, when you have a I don’t give a shit belligerent attitude with the audience, this album is a must. I also love the “Give me an issue, I’ll give you a tissue and you can wipe my ass with it”
    I’m out.
