I caught a view of the new Beyonce commercial the other day. She has partnered up with Hamburger Helper as part of the Feeding America by adding to local and national food banks. I say kudos to everyone involved.
everyone except the logo designers of the thing.
at first glance, i didn’t see hands raised. all i saw were red and black flames with the hamburger helper man gleefully standing inside them. like the devil himself. like poker game in hell, where he cheats, raises nonstop, and then taunts everyone with a demand to “show your [..] hand”.
the grunge style was also an interesting choice. is it in an attempt to make them appear more acceptable to the unclean masses the food will be spread amongst?
will says this has something to do with communist china.. i did not question him and instead chose to accept his bizarre knowledge of the REDs.. when he first saw this he instantly stated “Feeding America, TO THE CHINESE!” in tribute to this awesomeness, here is a modified logo for use going forward
last note.. disembodied hands that smile and prompt you to eat lots of dead cow and pasta are very creepy..
i don’t think you can spin this in any direction except creepy

It is a great cause. Too bad it’s hamburger helper. I guess if you’re starving you’re just glad to have something to eat and won’t mind getting the shits afterward.

this makes me want to buy some at the grocery store this weekend but usually it’s just easier to make hamburger mac or tuna mac cuz that’s the 2 most common flavors eaten at our house……….although their stroganoff isn’t bad for being a fast easy version of the real thing……..and i agree that we use more turkey burger now ourselves too than actual hamburger
