Today is (Monday) November 23rd 2009!

My goal  since around july of this year was to get a bunch of people together at my place and drink some beer. We would kick back and laugh at the glory of FreeJack. Jenn and I contracting the swine flu killed that idea.

Why would a group of adults get together and watch this shit-fest of a movie? BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME! well, hell.. lets go through the cast to start with.. we have : Mick Fucking Jagger, Emilio Estevez, Renee Russo, Anthony Hopkins, Amanda Plummer, John Shea, Esai “I was in La Bamba” Morales,  David Johansen…

In FreeJack, Mick Jagger is a Bone-Jacker, someone who steals bodies from the past to harvest their organs in the future. Emilio Estevez, is a race car driver who dies in a horrible crash/explosion in 1992. Jagger pulls Estevez through time, saving him from the the car crash and  attempts to melt his brain. with a melted brain, her is a perfect candidate for body harvesting. Estevez escapes and searches for a way to make his life in this future world worth living.

Which day is his first day in the future? November 23rd 2009!.. now, it isnt a monday in the film (i think it is Sunday if i remember right **EDIT** after watching it is actually “Thursday, November 23, 2009″ not sunday) but FUCK IT! who needs calendars and overlooked details when we are officially living in a world capable of time travel and mind swapping!!!?

i think it is pretty damn cool that we have time travel today. been a long time coming. i cant wait to start pulling people from the past and using them in school book reports.

TIME TRAVEL MOTHERFUCKERS, it is here, it is a big deal. get on it.

it should be noted that we have two rock legends in the same film. Mick Jagger and David Johansen.

MY HYPOTHESIS

Johansen has always been a step or two behind Jagger, he even claimed some influence by the stones when he was a kid, prior to heading up part of the protopunk movement and bands like the NY Dolls. coincidentally they look similar, act similar, it is likely they smell similar….

it wasnt till i saw freejack that i put it all together though..

Johansen, ever striving to be his own man, cant help but wish he WAS jagger. in my theory, It seems almost as if the movie studio pulled Johansen in as a “back up jagger”, a stand-in for if mick failed to work out. Instead, Johansen gets plugged into a crappy side role because Jagger has his own plans, and they require his active participation in the film making process in order to achieve his goals.

Based on the above conjecture, i think that jagger made sure johansen was on the film. jagger is like the guru’s over at the Make-a-Wish foundation, he will help David become what he wants most to be. Jagger has access to the mind swap technology and plans to use the tech from the film to swap his conciousness into Johansen’s body. a decade younger body is still younger, and we all know that he is getting fairly ancient and will soon turn to dust with out revitalization.

RUN DAVID! you dont want to lose yourself completely! your wish to “be jagger” is a metaphor for greatness, not a desire to cease existing!!  RUN RUN RUN! just make sure you have an awesome chase scene like estevez and engineer that it takes place on a california freeway like OJ so we can all watch it.

people may ask “why would he want a body that is only a decade younger, why not take the body from a previous time, after all, “TIME TRAVEL MOTHERFUCKERS!”?”

paradox.. sheesh, if he took him from an earlier time, he never would have known that he was a good fit. he isnt greedy folks, he just wants “more life” like the synthetic man in bladerunner. cant fault grandpa for that, now can you?
