mcdonalds ice cream cones

Last night, Jenn and I went and grabbed an ice cream cone at mcdonalds. they make some of the best fake vanilla non-organic bottom shelf petroleum rich soft serve on the market. i love the stuff.

unfortunately, their large cone was skimpy and i felt as if i had been cheated… so i talked jenn into taking me to ANOTHER mcdonalds, so i could get ANOTHER icecream cone.

MMMM…. so good… but the flavor was off. the second cone was a bit more bland. the consistency was off as well.. i realized that it never would have been noticed if the cones had a span of days between them. it was only known because of the closely ingested  timeframe. this was an opportunity that could not be passed up. this was my only opportunity to accurately compare three different standardized box recipe factory ice creams and see how much of the process is actually human skill vs “putting box contents into machine”

i talked jenn into taking me for a third at a third location. i was giggling and giddy. i could not stop laughing. jenn noticed that my mustache was caked in sticky vanilla goo. the third ice cream cone was properly thick and over sweet. it was redeeming of the second one (though not nearly as good as the first)

i ate my third ice cream cone in 30 minutes and almost passed out laughing while sitting in the car. its a good thing i was not driving.

when i woke up this morning i still had caked sugar in my beard. felt a little sick but glad to have participated in the impromptu experiment.

largo, you should be proud..
