I have been wanting to post a link to a specific video for a couple weeks now, but it went very viral very fast, so i felt like a tag along poseur. Now I have a classy add-on video (thanks Mongo) that makes me less of the Poseur, and more of a super Poseur… you are welcome.
Let me know if any of these links die, I saved an archive copy of each I can reroute to.
Video: Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury
Music video by comedian Rachel Bloom detailing her love for Science Fiction. Fantastic video, may not be appropriate for work or kids, but book loving adults will get a kick out of it! As it is Bradbury’s 90th B-day on August 22, this is a super cool “gift”. Also check out this LA Times post for some classic Bradbury quotes

Writing a review like Big Foot (from Roumieu’s book) is similar to playing scrabble drunk and simultaneously channeling the spirit of Frank Zappa, circa “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow” (apostrophe, 1974 ). I hope to never to do this again, it was that painful. Great book though.
Me Write book write by Graham Roumieu. Very funny! Not children book, not classic literature. Somewhere in between is book, made for adult and is violent bloody.
Book was write from the perspective of Big Foot. Big Foot not stupid, he just bad with language. Actually very smart fellow, use ten dollar words with ease.. very good grasp on theory, very bad in practice.
Big Foot, man, myth, legend, he famous once. Use lots of cocaine and drink alcohol with friends like Emilio Estevez. When cash runs out, richy-rich friends go away. Now Big Foot write book to make people know he… Read the rest

I love culture jammers…
Many may remember a movie from 2003 called ‘The Yes Men’. It featured two men (Aliases – Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno) leveraging a certain suave combination of social engineering and acting to infiltrate and act as spokespeople for the WTO, McDonalds, Dow Chemical. It was a flabbergasting film, and surprised many of us by showing how far peoples faith can go, based off a couple nice things said and a handshake.
last year (2009) their second movie was released, ‘The Yes Men: Fix the World’.
It looks like they may have heckled the wrong crowd this time as the duo and film associates are being sued, delaying and possibly killing the release of film#2. the law suit stems from their impersonation of United States Chamber of Commerce during the film.
in true culture jam form, the movie… Read the rest
I recently read a pre-release copy of Robin Spano’s “Dead Politician Society”, ready for sale at your favorite book retailer on September 1st.
On Goodreads.com, Spano is keeping a close eye on what her fans and detractors are saying, this led to some chit chat between us. I realized, “HEYwaitaminnit… i am askin questions here.. i wonder…”
Needless to say, I asked Robin if she would be down for a an email onslaught of Q&A. To my surprise, she gladly agreed!
Thanks Robin for taking the time to work with me! I appreciate your taking time out to do so :)
Read on for a mixed bag of questions!

I miss the days of cassette mix-tapes. I am a firm believer that unless you put it in a concrete order and spend the time to make a cover for it, it is nothing more than a generic playlist. not the same as making a tape, but it is a creative outlet i have always and will likely always enjoy, regardless of the medium available. As such, I spend a fair amount of time each year, making compilations that i personally enjoy, and them make them available for other music lovers..
In case anyone is interested, newest compilation is available via this post. it will be online for maybe a month or so (post to be edited once i remove it)..
Just a little something to help break up the work week.
Music varies from punk to electropop.

I imagine being a sleeper agent is a lot like crashing a drunken party. You walk in the door, pretending to be invited. You eat a couple chips and drink a beer. You join conversations and chat with people, avoiding specific conversation topics but not really holding back. ultimately the consequence of your actions may be discovery and ejection from the party. Depending on the climate of the group, you could be offered to stay, or you could be painfully beat to the ground, you could simply be ignored going forward.
I have trouble thinking about being a spy, let alone a sleeper agent. Coming to a country, melding myself with the culture, people, and policies but knowing full well that I did not belong. building relationships, having a family, working a job that ultimately may need to be shed like a second skin and left behind.

A month or so ago, the Bunny (sometimes referred to as BunnyTEK) got a hold of me to play a part in a 3 minute short for one of his cinematography classes. Being that I have absolutely zero qualms about making a fool of myself, I agreed to participate. It turned out pretty decent over all.
Bunny and crew decided to use a modified section of “So long and thanks for all the fish”, by Douglas Adams. It is a bare bones portion of the story Arthur Dent tells Fenchurch while on their pseudo-date. “So Long” is book 4 in the inappropriately numbered Hitchhikers trilogy.
The chance to pretend to be some variation of something remotely related to Arthur Dent was enough reason to do this…
